Kimmers Photography was born after I decided to go back to school for photography. I LOVE taking pictures & friends were asking me to take photos but I wanted to get formal training!
I now teach introduction to photography evening continuing education classes at NGTC and day classes in their amazing photography department! How I adore being back on the North Georgia Technical College campus. The faculty and staff are phenomenal. The students are eager to learn and play in the studios, perfecting their craft! Photography has truly been a life changing journey for me!
Married 30 years to the most wonderful & supportive fellow & we have 6 beautiful children (their ages range from 29 to 18). We love living in the Northeast Georgia mountains! We’re close to lots of hiking, waterfalls & rivers. Tons of scenery & not too far from the city or beach!
I got my English degree at Gainesville College & 25 years later I went back to school at NGTC in Clarkesville. It’s been a wonderful experience and I love learning! I served as the Student Photographic Society (SPS) VP & President for 2 years .
For a long time I worked as the Aquatics Director at UNG in Oakwood. Then I switched over to LCKC (Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club) I love teaching children and adults paddling, swimming, safety, and water aerobics. As you browse through my work, you will notice I have a passion for photographing water sports and aquatic wildlife.
My goal for Kimmers Photography is to provide lovely photos & capture the perfect moments for you! I only have 1 (yes, ONE) photo from my wedding day! I want every bride to have a photo album she can be proud of & show to her family for generations! Family is incredibly important to me so having documentation from older generations is wonderful! I can help you get photos that are once in a lifetime!
My background in Lamaze/Lactation education & own 6 births has made me extremely comfortable in Labor & Delivery rooms. Pregnancy and newborn photos are so much fun!
I do tons of volunteer work in the community (Boys & Girls Club, Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club, church & youth events, annual Dragonboat festival, & more….) I adore sports photography and have lots of experience (& a wonderful lens!) I’d love to get to know you & I want to provide beautiful, reasonable priced pictures for you!
